Timur A. Kulibayev

He was born on 10th of September, 1966
In 1988 he has been graduated from Lomonosov Moscow State University. He has an academic degree of Ph.D. in Economics.
He is a Honoured Powerman of CIS.

During the period of 1988 to 1992 his professional activity was concerned to the science – he worked as an economist, a junior research assistant of Scientific-Research Economics Institute of Planning and Normative Standards (SREIP&NS) under State Plan of KazSSR and a director of Scientific-Consulting Center of the Fund оf Cultural, Social, Scientific and Technological Development of Kazakhstan.

From 1992 he directed the different business structures.
In 1997 he has been appointed to a director of Management on Projects Assessment and Negotiating of State Investment Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

From May, 1997 to March, 1999 – Vice-President of Economics and Finance of “National Oil and Gas Company “Kazakhoil” CJSC, in March, 1999 he has been appointed to the President of “NCOT “KazTransOil” CJSC, and in May, 2001 to February, 2002 – General Director of “Oil and Gas Transportation” National Company” CJSC.

From February, 2002 to October, 2005 – First Vice-President of “NC “KazMunaiGas” JSC created by merging of “NC “Kazakhoil” CJSC and “NC “Oil and Gas Transportation” CJSC.
In October, 2005 he has been appointed to the Adviser of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

From April, 2006 tо August, 2007 – Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of “Kazakhstan Holding for State Assets Management “Samruk” JSC.

On 17th of October, 2008 he has been appointed to the Deputy Chairman of the Board of “National Welfare Fund “Samruk-Kazyna” JSC.

From 2005 he is a head of “KazEnergy” Association consolidating the enterprises of oil-gas and energy sectors which carry out their activities in RK.

He was awarded with the following orders: “Курмет” (RK, 2001), an anniversary medal “Қазақстан Конституциясына 10 жыл” (RK, 2005), “Дружбы” (Friendship) (RF, 2007) and an anniversary medal “10-летие Астаны” (10th Anniversary of Astana) (RK, 2008).
