KEGOC completed the emergency restoration of its network’s operation in the Atyrau and Mangystau oblasts, where a number of consumers experienced power outages on January 10 and 11 this year.
As is known, on 10 and 11 January 2021, as a result of abnormal weather phenomena, some overhead lines and equipment at the company's substations and in regional networks were disconnected, resulting in power outages for a number of consumers in the Atyrau and Mangistau regions.
Despite continued corona discharges of high voltage equipment due to icing, snow and high humidity, KEGOC personnel managed to complete the power supply restoration. At present, the normal operation topology of the power grid has been fully restored. Atyrau and Mangystau oblasts have been synchronised with the rest of the power grid. Since the time of the outage, electricity supply to consumers has been fully restored within one to nine hours.
