Updated approaches to the implementation of the Transformation Programme


On 15 March 2019, in KEGOC, the chair of the Management Board, Bakytzhan Kazhiyev, had a meeting with the managing directors and management of the business transformation centre of KEGOC, head of the IT Department, Dauren Kereibayev, senior manager of the Energy Sector of the Asset Management Directorate of Samruk Kazyna, Alexey Repin and curators from the central transformation team of Samruk Kazyna.

The participants discussed a number of questions on updating the approaches of the Transformation Programme. At the meeting, Dauren Kereibayev presented the key changes concerning the approaches to the implementation of the Transformation Programme. 

Transformation for each individual portfolio company will be tailored individually based on the real benefits and the impact on the value of the enterprise. The new approach suggest that the projects will be divided according to two criteria: projects with financial benefits (type F) projects with qualitative benefits (type Q). 

Samruk Kazyna plans to gradually reduce its involvement in transformation projects in portfolio companies and switch them to the target operating model of Samruk Kazyna as they are steadily on the growing trend. The meeting has also presented the new curators of the business areas in Samruk Kazyna, who will ensure control, monitoring of project implementation, as well as agree upon the goals and achieved results. 

The companies will continue to apply in their work the project management and change management approach, and the roles and functions of business transformation centres will remain the same.
