NEW LEVEL LLP held administratively liable for damage to electricity networks

Territorial Department of the Committee for Nuclear and Energy Supervision and Control of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the city of Nur-Sultan (hereinafter referred to as ‘the Department’) initiated administrative proceedings on the materials received by the Department of fuel and energy complex and utilities of the city of Nur-Sultan about the damage of 10 kV cable line RP-50 bay 16-TP-1033. The consideration of the administrative case showed that on 4 June 2021 during the excavation for construction of a bicycle lane, New level LLP damaged the cable line at the address: 10 Samal Str., city of Nur-Sultan (violation of paragraphs 243, 245 of the Regulations for Technical Operation of Consumers' Electrical Installations No. 246 dated 30 March 2015.

In this connection, the Department, guided by section 802(3) of the Code, held NEW LEVEL LLP administratively liable for damage to electric networks over 1,000 volts under section 302(2) of the Code. The legal representative of the enterprise agreed with the imputed offence and therefore the administrative case was considered in a simplified procedure. The fine was paid.

The Department recommends that all individuals and legal persons carrying out earthworks, construction or installation in the vicinity of power grids observe the requirements of the Regulations for Technical Operation of Consumers' Electrical Installations and the Regulations for Establishing Protection Zones of Power Grid Facilities and Special Conditions of Use of Land Plots Located within the Borders of Such Zones.
