The international rating agency Moody's affirmed KEGOC's long-term credit rating at ‘Baa1’ with a stable outlook. KEGOC's rating is at the same level as the sovereign rating of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

In a published research report on 20 May 2025 Moody's highlights that KEGOC maintains a strong financial profile. It is supported by a number of factors, including favourable tariff regulation, a historically conservative financial policy, a flexible investment programme, and its status as an operator of key national electricity grid infrastructure.

In addition, the new market model introduced in July 2023 has strengthened KEGOC's position and increased its profitability, which has had a positive impact on the company's investment attractiveness.
