KEGOC showed high sport results

Employees of KEGOC's northern and eastern branches showed high results in the qualifying tournament of the VI Spartakiad sport event among employees of the Samruk-Kazyna group of companies held in Pavlodar.

The VI Spartakiad sport event among employees of the Samruk-Kazyna group of companies started in Kazakhstan and the first qualifying competitions took place in Pavlodar.  On 3-4 August 259 athletes from 4 regions of the North and East Kazakhstan competed for the right to get into the Superfinal.

The North-East region brought together the representatives of the subsidiaries of the Samruk-Kazyna group of companies from Pavlodar, the North Kazakhstan, Kostanai and East Kazakhstan oblasts. The athletes from PNHZ LLP, GRES-1 LLP, GRES-2 LLP, Kazakhstan Temir Zholy NC JSC, Kaustik LLP and KazTransOil JSC decided to compete for the right to get into the Superfinal.

The competitions were held in 8 disciplines: futsal, streetball, volleyball, ping-pong, e-sports (Counter-Strike 1.6), arm-wrestling, chess and togizkumalak. 

KEGOC’s team in futsal and volleyball, the team of PNHZ LLP in streetball were recognised as the best at the regional tour. The team of Bogatir Komir LLP took the first place in e-sports. 

In addition, Meruert Abylkassymova and Anastassiya Matveyeva, employees of KEGOC took the first places in chess and arm-wrestling, respectively.   

- I am very glad that we managed to defeat the opponents and win a ticket to the superfinal, but we cannot relax, because we still have matches with other teams, said Daulet Smailov, the captain of the KEGOC futsal team. - I have been playing futsal for a long time, almost every weekend we go training with colleagues and friends. On behalf of the team, I would like to express appreciation to the organizers for bringing us and our colleagues from other regions together, so that we could get to know each other, communicate and even share experience. 

The best of the North-East region athletes now will meet with the winners of the Centre, South and West in the decisive superfinal on 7-8 September in Nur-Sultan.

All qualifying competitions of the Spartakiad are divided into territories:  North-East, Centre, West and South. Each region nominates its teams and athletes according to the division into subsidiaries and affiliates. 

Samruk-Kazyna Trust, the Fund of social projects development, was the organizer of the sport event on behalf of the group of companies of Samruk-Kazyna.
