KEGOC continues to report on the progress of the failure rectification in Zone South of Kazakhstan UPS.

To date, the normal operation of the national power grid has been fully restored including parallel operation with the Kyrgyz power system.

At 14:53 all the load shedding affected consumption in Almaty city and Almaty region have been reconnected.

As of 16:00 today, the power supply was restored up to 500 kV Zhambyl and Shymkent substations. Zhambyl GRES and Shymkent CHP power plants were synchronized and increased the generation. About 750 MW of 930 MW load shedding in Zhambyl, Turkestan and Kyzylorda oblasts have been released.

Efforts to fully restore power supply to Zhambyl, Turkestan, Kyzylorda oblasts have been continued including the efforts to restore parallel operation with the power system of Uzbekistan.
