On 24 November 2021, an Extraordinary General Meeting of KEGOC shareholders was held during which personnel appointments were made. At Bakytzhan Kazhiyev's personal initiative, his powers as the Chairman of the Management Board and member of the Board of Directors of KEGOC were prematurely terminated.
Kanysh Moldabayev was appointed Chairman of KEGOC's Management Board for a three-year term by a decision of KEGOC's Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders, and his powers as Chairman of KEGOC's Board of Directors were also terminated early.
Suinshlik Tiyessov was elected chairman of the KEGOC Board of Directors.
Also Yernat Berdigulov was elected a member of the KEGOC Board of Directors to represent the interests of Samruk-Kazyna.
The term of office of Mr Tiyessov and Mr Berdigulov shall expire with the term of office of the current Board of Directors of KEGOC.

Kanysh Moldabayev has over 25 years of management experience. He started his career in August 1987 as an electric fitter in Bayanaul district electric networks of Pavlodar region. From 1987 till 1999 worked in various positions from operation and repair up to the first executive of Bayanaul district electric networks of Pavlodar region. From 1999 to 2003 worked as a deputy Akim of Bayanaul district of Pavlodar region. From 2003 to 2004 he studied at the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. After graduation, from 2004 to 2007, he worked as Head of the Department of Electricity of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Then he worked at KEGOC, from 2007 to 2009 as the head of Severnye MES branch of KEGOC, from 2009 to 2011 as the head of NPG Development Department. From 2011 to 2012 he worked as Head of Industrial Assets Management of Samruk-Kazyna JSC. From 2012 to 2018 he held various positions in Samruk-Energy JSC from the head of Innovation and Technology Policy and Development Department, Managing Director for Development and Sales, Member of the Management Board, to First Deputy Chairman of the Management Board. From 2018 to 2019, he worked as Deputy General Director of Kazakhstan Nuclear Power Plants JSC.
Since April 2019 he has been the Head of the Energy Sector, Director of the Directorate of Energy and Mining Assets of Samruk-Kazyna JSC.
Kanysh Moldabayev has been the Chairman of the Board of Directors of KEGOC from April 2021 to the present.
He was awarded “Kurmet" Order (2015), "10 years of the Republic of Kazakhstan" Medal (2001), "20 years of the Republic of Kazakhstan" Medal (2011), Certificate of Honour of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan (2006), "Honoured Power Engineer of CIS" Title (2010).
Suinshlik Tiyessov graduated from the Kazakh Polytechnic Institute named after V.I. Lenin with a degree in electrical engineering. He is a candidate of technical sciences.

Yernat Berdigulov has experience in the Project Office on implementation of Management Reporting System (MRS) of Samruk-Kazyna JSC (2011-2012), was head of Analytical Support Department, head of Strategic Development Department, head of Project Management Department of Samruk- Energy JSC (2013-2018).), analyst of Asset Management Directorate of Samruk- Kazyna JSC (2019-2021), since April 2021 he has been Co-managing Director for Strategy, Sustainable Development and Digital Transformation of Samruk-Kazyna JSC.
