KEGOC has three Samruk Marathon medals to its credit

On 28 May this year, 49 athletes from KEGOC and its subsidiary, Energoinform, took part in the Samruk Marathon in Astana.

More than a thousand employees from 22 companies affiliated with Samruk-Kazyna took part in the sporting event, marking the 15th anniversary of Samruk-Kazyna's foundation. The race was held over two distances, 5 and 10 kilometres.

The results were judged in a variety of age groups for both men and women. At the completion of the race, KEGOC had three rewards. In the 30-39 age group (men):

- Rizabek Suleimenov, Manager of KEGOC's Accounting and Tax Department, took third place;

- Azamat Pernekhanov, Chief Specialist of Energoinform JSC's Accounting and Tax Department, took second place.

Gulmira Tuenbaeva, Chief Manager of KEGOC's IT Department, came the first place among women in the 40-49 age group.

On the eve of International Children's Day, the Samruk Marathon also organised a race for the youngest athletes. Over a hundred children ran the one-kilometer course and participated in track and field events. The youngest participant of children's races from KEGOC was Aysultan Kabdyl, the eight-year-old son of Meiramgali Kakibayev, Operations Dispatch Control Team Engineer of 1150 kV Kokshetauskaya SS, Akmolinskiye MES Branch. And our colleague Erzhan Uskenbaev, senior specialist of the Health, Safety and Civil Defense Department of Energoinform JSC, was the oldest competitor in the 10-kilometer race.
