KEGOC JSC held a year-end meeting today, chaired by Company management and attended by regional MES (Interregional Power Networks) branch directors. The meeting reviewed 2025 performance and defined key priorities for 2026.
The national power system demonstrated steady growth throughout the year. Electricity consumption rose by 3.8% to 124.6 billion kWh, while generation increased by 4.4% to 123.1 billion kWh. A peak demand of 17,724 MW was recorded on 18 December, further confirming the increasing load on the power grid. Maximum generation reached 17,273 MW (a 7% increase year-on-year).
The Company’s financial performance also showed strong momentum: net profit reached a record 70.8 billion tenge, up 19% compared to 2024.
Nabi Aitzhanov, Chairman of the Management Board of KEGOC JSC, noted:

Digital & ESG Milestones
- Artificial Intelligence: A Roadmap for the implementation of AI projects was approved in 2025.
- Digitalisation: Process digitalisation has reached 52%, with a target of 90% automation by 2032.
- Social Stability: The Company achieved a social stability rating of 88% (ranking in the top 3 of Samruk-Kazyna Fund’s portfolio companies).
- ESG Performance: The ESG rating rose to 62 points (+7 points over the year).
- Environmental Initiatives: 4,780 trees were planted, and separate waste collection systems were introduced. Several branches also received high marks in the "Smart Plastic Zone" project.
Key Objectives for 2026
- Strengthening industrial safety protocols.
- Approving tariffs and the investment programme for the 2026–2031 period.
- Executing AI-driven projects.
- Progressing work on the Southern Zone reinforcement and the integration of the Western Zone with Kazakhstan’s Unified Power System.
- Ensuring the timely completion of the maintenance campaign to secure readiness certificates for the 2026–2027 autumn-winter period.
- Meeting financial plan targets and driving cost efficiencies.
The meeting concluded by emphasising that the sustained growth of both operational and financial metrics validates the Company’s strategic consistency and the high level of professionalism within its workforce.
Moving forward, KEGOC will continue the proactive development of the National Electric Grid. This commitment ensures the country’s energy security, the seamless integration of new generating capacities, and the long-term stability of the Unified Power System of Kazakhstan amidst rising demand and the ongoing technological transformation of the industry.
