KEGOC held an online contest for the best video promoting national traditions. The event, launched in September on the Day of Languages and held as a part of celebration of the 30th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan, was attended by 8 teams: the joint team of the Executive Administration and the National Dispatch Centre of the System Operator and 7 branches: Akmolinskiye MES, Almatinskiye MES, Aktyubinskiye MES, Zapadnye MES, Sarbaiskiye MES, Tsentralnye MES, and Vostochnye MES.

Creativity of contest participants was evaluated by competent jury consisting of Mr. Aidos Abdykhalyk, the author of Kaztest system, Ms. Asylzhan Toreniyazova, senior expert of the administration of Samruk Energy JSC, and Ms. Alma Saylauovna candidate of philological sciences, senior lecturer of Journalism and Political Science Faculty of Gumilev University, journalist, TV producer, PhD.

The jury highly appreciated the submitted works, noting that the contestants in their video clips showed creativity and tried to convey the essence of national traditions most clearly.

The third place was awarded to the team of Akmolinskiye MES branch for the video titled "Korisu" about the national tradition of "Tussau Kesser". The second place was awarded to the team of Sarbaiskiye MES, which showed the ritual of "Kyz uzatu". The honourable first place was taken by a video clip of two rituals, "Tusau Keser" and "Besikke Salu". It was made by the staff of the Executive Administration and NDC SO.

Special prizes were also awarded to several teams and participants in the competition as follows:

-         Oner Tarlany nomination to team Aport of Almatinskiye MES branch;

-         Zhүregi Onermen Orilgen Top nomination to the team of Aktyubinskiye MES branch;

-         Ademilik Pen Adeptilik Ulgіsі nomination to the team of Zapadnye MES branch;

-         Salem - Sozdin Anasy nomination to the team of Tsentralnye MES branch;

-         Talap - Talmas Kanat nomination to the team of Vostochnye MES branch;

-         Segiz Kyrly, Bir Syrly nomination went to Dauren Sultangazy, a member of Almatinskye MES branch team;

-         Aigerim Myrzagalieva, specialist of Aktyubinskye MES branch, was awarded Kumis Komei Anshi nomination;

-         Daraboz Daryn nomination was awarded to Almat Kordabaev, an engineer from Tsentralnye MES branch.
