KEGOC summed up the results of 2021

According to the audited financial statements of KEGOC for 2021 the net profit amounted to KZT 52.6 billion. This net profit was achieved due to the growth in the amounts of the regulated services.

The amount electricity transmission amounted grew by 18.4 % to 54.6 billion kWh. The amount of technical dispatching and balancing the generation and consumption of electricity also showed an increase by an average of 6% compared to 2020. The increase in the amount of services is due to the growth in generation and consumption of electricity in the country.

The company’s shares demonstrate a trend of high liquidity and stable growth: since the beginning of the year, the market price of one share has increased by KZT 169.5 (from KZT 1,699.5 to 1,869), the maximum share price was KZT 1,920 tenge, which exceeds the historical maximum of 2020 by KZT 170.

In the reporting year, shareholders were paid a total of 41.5 billion tenge in dividends, including KZT 19.5 billion at the end of 2020 and KZT 22 billion at the end of the first half of 2021. In general, since the IPO on the stock exchange, the total amount of dividends paid to shareholders amounted to KZT 174.7 billion. The total dividend payments for the year increased from KZT 8.6 billion in 2014 to KZT 39.5 billion in 2020, or 4.6 times.

In December 2021, the company disposed of its subsidiary, Financial Settlement Centre for Renewable Energy Sources Support LLP (FSC RES LLP) to the state. However, the disposal of FSC RES LLP shall not affect the amount of dividend payments to KEGOC shareholders, as the net profit of FSC RES LLP in accordance with its Charter shall be used for its core operations.

Disbursement under major investment projects in 2021 amounted to KZT 22.6 billion vs. planned KZT 20.4 billion. The company continues implementation of the strategic projects: Rehabilitation of 220-500 kV OHTLs at KEGOC's Aktyubinskiye MES branch, Sarbaiskiye MES branch, and Zapadnye MES branch, phase 1, and West Kazakhstan Electricity Transmission Reinforcement Project. Turkestan External Power Supply Reinforcement Project is planned to be completed this year.
