KEGOC has received a certificate of readiness for autumn-winter operations in 2022-2023.

The Committee for Nuclear and Energy Supervision and Control of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan issued a certificate of readiness for operation in the autumn-winter period 2022-2023 to KEGOC.

The repair campaign, which began in April this year, has covered 94 overhead power lines and 37 units of substation equipment. In addition, an emergency reserve of materials, spare parts and structures has been replenished and a sufficient reserve of transformer oil and fuel and lubricants has been created to ensure the reliable operation of the national power grid of Kazakhstan during the winter period.

The concerned authority has confirmed that KEGOC has completed all necessary work and is ready to maintain a reliable supply of electricity to consumers during the autumn-winter peak load period.

KEGOC acts as the system operator of the unified power system of the Republic of Kazakhstan and owns and operates the assets of the national power grid (NPG). The main activities belong to the sphere of natural monopoly. The company owns about 27,000 km of 220-1150 kV transmission lines and 82 electrical substations with an installed capacity of 38.99 GVA transformers that make up the NPG.
