KEGOC’s performance for 7 months of 2023

KEGOC reported its operating performance for the first seven months of 2023 were announced at a meeting with Samruk-Kazyna, presided over by Nurlan Zhakupov.

The System Operator of Unified Power System worked in a routine manner, according to KEGOC Chairman of the Management Board Nabi Aitzhanov.

Electricity transmission services accounted for 32.4 billion kWh during the reporting period, technical dispatching services for 62 billion kWh, and balancing services for the production-consumption of electricity for 119.5 billion kWh. The actual performance was 2% over what was anticipated on average, which is attributable to the Republic of Kazakhstan's wholesale market organisations' increased transmission volumes and excess power output.

The number of services increased, and cost reductions improved the Company's financial performance. In contrast to the same period in 2022, net income was obtained in the amount of KZT 26.55 billion, an increase of 70% or KZT 10.95 billion. According to the results of 2023, the Company's estimated level of net income will be KZT 31.4 billion, or 17.7% more than the outcomes of 2022.

The share price for today is KZT1,575 per share.

The Company continues systematic implementation of projects for the development of the National Power Grid. These include "Rehabilitation of 220-500 kV overhead transmission lines of KEGOC branches (stage 1) and "West Kazakhstan Electricity Transmission Reinforcement Project", which are planned to be completed by the end of this year, as well as South Kazakhstan Electricity Transmission Reinforcement Project" and "West Kazakhstan Power System Interconnection Project".
