KEGOC to Allocate 1 Billion Tenge for Flood Consequences Relief

KEGOC will provide financial assistance to regions affected by the natural disaster amounting to 1 billion tenge. The funds will be transferred to the Samruk-Kazyna Trust fund.

During a meeting of the Emergency Response Team, chaired by the head of Samruk-Kazyna Fund JSC, Nurlan Zhakupov, and with the participation of portfolio company leaders, the current flood situation and measures aimed at preventing and mitigating the effects of the natural disaster were discussed.

"KEGOC has taken all necessary measures to protect transmission lines, buildings, and structures from the impact of melt water. Round-the-clock monitoring of overhead lines prone to flooding has been organized, and teams have been set up for emergency recovery work on electrical network facilities. Currently, there is no threat of overhead line collapse or damage in KEGOC," said Nabi Aitzhanov.
