KEGOC discussed the performance of the Business Transformation Programme in Q2 2021

The meeting of the Board of Directors of KEGOC reviewed the progress report of the Business Transformation Programme for Q2 2021.

The participants were presented the information on the current status of the Transformation Programme, the milestones of the Roadmap for the Business Transformation Programme of KEGOC, as well as on the achieved benefits from the implementation of the Transformation Programme projects for Q2 2021.

According to the approved Roadmap of the Business Transformation Programme for 2020-2023, all planned milestones have been achieved. Acceptance certificate for Automated frequency and power control system has been signed and the system has been put into operation. Testing of the System for detecting anomalous situations in the industrial network under "Cybersecurity” project has been completed. As part of the process management system implementation, “REVEX Project Management” standard has been developed and approved, and “Implementation of REVEX Projects in KEGOC” regulation was updated. For "Automation of substation outdoor switchgear lighting” event purchases were carried out, contracts for the supply of motion sensors have been concluded.

On September 24, 2021, a brainstorming session was held with the participation the Board of Directors of KEGOC and the executive management of the Company to discuss topical problems in the electric power industry and world trends and development trends in the electric power industry.

Mr. Bekzhan Mukatov, Chief Dispatcher of NDC SO KEGOC delivered a presentation on the current state of the electric power industry, the model of the electricity and capacity market in Kazakhstan, the main problems and challenges in the electric power industry. Also, Ms. Dana Tokubayeva, head of Strategic Analysis and Planning Department of KEGOC delivered a presentation on global trends and development trends in the field of electricity, energy transition and low-carbon development.

The participants discussed the vision for the further development of the electric power industry and the company in terms of energy transition, low-carbon development and transformation of the domestic electric power industry.
