Project goal: Enhance the reliability of the national power grid (NPG) of Kazakhstan through the rehabilitation of the existing power lines that have reached the limits of their standard service life.

Project implementation period: 2019 - 2031

Project description: The project is aimed at enhancing the reliability of the NPG of Kazakhstan, improving the power supply to consumers, the transit of electricity, and the evacuation of power from power plants. Rehabilitation of 220–500 kV OHL branches in Akmolinskiye MES branch, Vostochnye MES branch, Severnye MES branch and Tsentralnye MES branch of KEGOC covers 48 overhead transmission lines of 220-500 kV with the total length of 4236 km

Current Status: In February 2025, the State Enterprise "Gosexpertiza" approved the feasibility study (FS) report of the project. Work is underway to develop design and estimate documentation.
