AVGUST KOZHANOV

Avgust Kozhanov was born on 5 May 1927 in Tula.

When the Great Patriotic War began, at the age of 14 years old, he went to work for military electromechanical plant. Learning and working in parallel, he finished  the evening school.

In 1946, he went to army in Ashgabat.

In 1954, he entered the part-time department at the Moscow Politechnical Institute and worked in parallel. He graduated from the Institute as Mechanical Engineer.

In 60-70-s, he was a distrcit committee secretary of the party in Lenin District, Alma-Ata. Further he worked for OblSovProf; in the mid 70-s, he was Chairman of KazTurSovet.

His work as Chairman of power engineer trade union made a very significant contribution. Further he worked for the Ministry of Energy. In 1992, he went to well-deserved retirement.
