ANASTASIA GENERALOVA

Anastasia Generalova was born on 13 October 1923 in the village of Malaya Malyshka, Sokolovsk region, near Petropavlovsk. When she was at the age of four, her parents died and she was placed in  Petropavlovsk orphan asylum. Upto1942, shelivedinKokshetauorphan asylum.

Being an asylum child (in summer, asylum children were sent to do agricultural work) and being a pupil of the 7th class at that momemt, in March 1943, Anastasia Generalova was sent to industrial works school under military plant No. 621 in Kokshetau.

Upon completion of the six month training programme/practical training, Anastasia Generalova obtained a post of a grinder and proceeded with self-guided work at plant No. 621, up to November 1946. (Military plant No. 621 was evacuated from Podolsk, Moscow Oblast).

Anastasia Generalova was awarded the Medal For Valorous and Selfless Labour during the Great Patriotic War (No. 139973).

Work schedule at the military plant at that time:

08-00 a.m. – 12-00 a.m. – half of a month (day shift)

08-00 p.m. – 08-00 a.m. – the second half of a month (night shift)

One day off – on the 1st day of new month

Dinner: 01-00 p.m. – 02-00 p.m.

Labouractivity

On 1 June 1964, she was appointed as engineer at Kazakh branch of Institute Gidroproyekt; on 22 July 1966, she was appointed to the position of typist at Kazakh branch of Institute EnergoSetProyekt; on 27 January 1969, she was promoted to the position of senior typist; on 13 July 1976, she was employed as electrician in the plumbing equipment operation service of Interregional Dispatching Office for power systems in Kazakhstan; on 10 March 1982, she retired.

Awards and Achievements

  • On 6 June 1945, she was awarded the Medal For Valorous and Selfless Labour during the Great Patriotic War.
  • On 20 October 1956, she was awarded the Medal For Development of Virgin Lands.
  • On 25 April 1975, she was awarded the Medal commemorating the 30th Anniversary of Victory in the 1941-1945 Great Patriotic War.
  • On 12 September 1980, she was awarded the Medal ‘Veteran of Labour’,
  • On 12 April 1985, she was awarded the Medal commemorating the 40th Anniversary of Victory in the 1941-1945 Great Patriotic War.
  • On 21 March 1995, she was awarded the Medal commemorating the 50th Anniversary of Victory in the 1941-1945 Great Patriotic War.
  • On 8 October 1999, she was presented the award pin ‘Veteran of the 1941-1945 Great Patriotic War’ in honour of the 55th Anniversary of Victory in the 1941-1945 Great Patriotic War.
  • On 14 September 2004, she was awarded the Medal commemorating the 60th Anniversary of Victory in the 1941-1945 Great Patriotic War.
  • On 19 March 2010,  she was awarded the Medal commemorating the 65th Anniversary of Victory in the 1941-1945 Great Patriotic War.
