MIKHAIL SKREPALEV

Mikhail Skrepalev was born in 1934. Mikhail Skrepalev born in rural family with many children in Berezovka village, 'Gornyi pakhar' collective farm in East Kazakhstan oblast. When the Great Patriotic War started he was 7 years old, in the same year he started school. His father was called up for service in Labour Army. A year later his mother passed away. From this time he started to help elders with housework, together with his classmates performed doable work in collective farm at non-study time: gathered corn spikelets left after harvesting, helped his elder brother to pasture farm's livestock, participated in ploughing and haymaking. After finishing the mechanical school Mikhail Skrepalev got the profession of a car driver. In 1959, after service with the Soviet Army, he got a komsomol voucher and left for Pavlodar region to develop virgin lands. Starting from 1973, he engaged himself with 'large-scale' power engineering, when he joined the Yermakovsk electrical networks enterprise as a driver. In 1980, he was transferred to Ekibastuz high voltage network enterprise, and in 1997 he retired. For the years of his work, he was many times awarded with Certificates of Honour, insignia of distinction and acknowledgements for fruitful and conscientious work. In 1984, he was awarded a 'Labour Veteran' medal. Mikhail Skrepalev brought up two children who continue family's labour traditions, has three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
